My darling Cleo, our beautiful inspiration.
What has changed about the Cleo & Bebe waterproof bibs?
We have thoughtfully upgraded the materials inside our bibs while keeping the signature fit, shape and protection families already love.
Our new bibs now feature:
- A softer, lighter and more flexible TPU waterproof layer
- A new premium 100% cotton terry backing
- A softer, tighter terry weave designed to resist pulling and snagging
- Improved strength and durability
- Fabric designed to stay softer for longer
- The same signature snug, no-gap neckline
- The same trusted Classic and Bandana shapes
The bib size and pattern have not changed. The improvements are within the waterproof layer and premium cotton backing.
Why did you change from PUL to TPU?
Our previous PUL layer provided excellent waterproof protection, but we wanted to make the bib feel even softer, lighter and more flexible.
The new TPU waterproof lamination moves more comfortably with your baby while continuing to stop leaks before they reach your baby’s clothing and skin.
Paired with our new 100% cotton terry backing, it gives the bib a softer, smoother and more refined feel without making it stiff or bulky.
Is TPU better than PUL?
Both PUL and TPU can provide waterproof protection.
We chose TPU for our new collection because it allowed us to create a softer, lighter and more flexible version of the bib our customers already love.
The new TPU layer also pairs beautifully with our upgraded terry-cotton backing, creating a stronger and more premium-feeling bib for frequent everyday use.
Are the new bibs still 100% waterproof?
Yes. Every bib includes a hidden TPU waterproof layer that stops leaks before they reach your baby’s clothing and skin.
The premium cotton front catches and absorbs milk, drool and spit-up, while the waterproof layer prevents moisture from soaking through to the chest underneath.
Are the front and back made from cotton?
Yes. Our bibs feature a premium 100% cotton front and terry-cotton backing with a hidden flexible TPU waterproof layer.
A hidden TPU waterproof lamination sits within the bib to stop moisture soaking through.
Do the bibs help prevent dribble rash?
Yes. Our bibs help prevent irritation and dribble rash by keeping moisture away from your baby’s neck and chest.
Constant dampness from drool, reflux and milk can irritate delicate skin. Our waterproof layer stops leaks before they reach your baby’s skin, while our signature no-gap neckline helps prevent moisture slipping through around the neck.
Many parents have told us that their baby’s redness and dribble rash improved or cleared after switching to Cleo & Bebe bibs.
Why has the price changed?
The new price reflects the meaningful improvements made to the quality, softness, strength and overall finish of every bib.
I completely understand that every price increase matters to families, and it wasn’t a decision I made lightly. Rather than simply relaunching the same bib, I chose to invest in softer waterproofing, stronger premium cotton and improved packaging so the new collection would genuinely feel like an upgrade.
My goal has always been to create bibs that work, last and make everyday life with a reflux or drooly baby easier.
Do the larger packs offer better value?
Yes. The larger collections provide better value per bib and give parents more bibs ready between washing days.
- Single: $21.99 per bib
- 3-pack: approximately $19.33 per bib
- 5-pack: approximately $19.00 per bib
- 10-pack: approximately $18.00 per bib
The larger packs are especially helpful for babies experiencing reflux, teething or heavy drooling who may require several bibs throughout the day.
Our bibs are designed to do more than simply catch a small amount of dribble.
A standard cotton bib may initially absorb moisture but allow it to soak through once saturated. Cleo & Bebe bibs stop leaks before they reach your baby’s skin and clothing, helping prevent rash, reduce damp outfits and lighten the washing load.
They are designed to be washed, worn and relied on every day.
What is different about the new terry-cotton backing?
Our new backing is made from premium 100% terry cotton with a softer, tighter weave.
It is designed to:
- Feel soft and smoother
- Stay soft for longer
- Better resist pulling and snagging
- Remain stronger through regular washing
- Lighter and more breathable
- Feel comfortable against your baby’s clothing and skin
The backing is still the absorbent terry cotton parents love, but the improved weave makes it softer, neater and more durable.
Has the size or shape changed?
No. The size and pattern have not changed.
We have kept the familiar Classic and Bandana shapes, signature no-gap neckline and adjustable fit that families already love. The improvements have been made to the internal waterproof layer and premium terry-cotton backing.
What ages do the bibs fit?
Our two adjustable snap closures allow the bib to fit from approximately newborn to 48 months.
Every child is different, so the exact fit will depend on your little one’s individual size and neck shape.
How should the bib fit?
The bib should sit snugly beneath your baby’s chin without feeling tight.
Place the bib beneath the chin, gently tuck it underneath any little neck rolls and fasten the most comfortable snap. There should be no large visible gap around the neckline, but you should still be able to comfortably place a finger between the bib and your baby’s neck.
This close fit helps stop milk and dribble slipping through around the neckline.
What is the difference between Classic and Bandana?
Both styles offer the same cotton layers, waterproof TPU protection and signature no-gap fit. It's up to you mama, what you like best.
Two styles. Same dryness.
Are all packs available in Classic and Bandana?
Yes. Our 3-packs, 5-packs and 10-packs are available in both Classic and Bandana styles.
Always check the selected style before adding your collection to the cart.
Is every colour available individually?
Yes. Every colour is also available as a single bib in both Classic and Bandana styles, subject to stock availability.
This allows you to add an extra favourite colour or create your own mix alongside one of our coordinated packs.
Are the bibs suitable for reflux?
Yes. Cleo & Bebe bibs were originally created because my daughter, Cleo, struggled with reflux from birth.
The premium cotton front catches milk and spit-up, while the hidden TPU waterproof layer stops moisture soaking through. Our snug neckline also helps prevent milk slipping underneath the bib around the neck.
Are the bibs suitable for heavy drooling and teething?
Yes. They are designed for reflux, teething and heavy drooling.
How many bibs will my baby need?
Every baby is different.
A 3-pack can be a good starting point for lighter drooling or occasional use. Babies experiencing reflux, teething or heavy drooling often benefit from a 5-pack or 10-pack so there are always clean bibs ready between washing days.
Are the previous waterproof bibs still ok?
Yes. The previous PUL bibs remain safe, functional waterproof bibs and can continue to be used according to their care instructions.
Our move to TPU is a product improvement and does not mean the previous collection was unsafe or defective. We chose TPU because it allowed us to improve the softness, flexibility and overall feel of the new collection.
Washing and Care.
How do I wash the new waterproof bibs?
- Fasten the snaps before washing
- Use a cold or gentle machine wash
- Wash with similar colours
- Line dry where possible
- Do not bleach
- Do not use fabric softener
- Do not iron the waterproof layer
- Tumble dry on low heat only when needed
Gentle washing and lower temperatures will help protect the cotton, snaps and waterproof lamination and keep your bibs looking beautiful for longer.
Can the bibs go in the dryer?
Yes, they can be tumble dried on a low-heat setting when necessary.
However, line drying is still recommended where possible, as this will help preserve the cotton fabrics and waterproof layer for longer.
Avoid medium or high heat.
What is your change-of-mind policy?
You may return or exchange your bibs within 30 days, provided they are unworn, unused and returned in their original condition.
For hygiene reasons, worn or washed bibs cannot be returned for change of mind.
What happens if my bib is faulty?
Please contact us if you believe your bib has a manufacturing fault.
There is no fixed time limit applied to every fault enquiry. Each situation will be reviewed fairly on a case-by-case basis based on the age, use, care and condition of the bib.
Please include your order details and clear photos so our team can assist you as quickly as possible. Email - Hello@cleoandbebe.com.au
Why did you discontinue the previous collections?
The previous collections were retired to make way for our upgraded TPU waterproof bibs and newly coordinated packs.
We have kept many of our most-loved colours, introduced selected new shades and created fresh 3-pack, 5-pack and 10-pack combinations across both Classic and Bandana styles.
